SBM to meet India Cements

SBM (Bangalore) entered the final of the all-India YSCA Trophy cricket tournament here after defeating Rail Wheel Factory (RWF, Bangalore) by 89 runs. Chasing 200 in 30 overs, RWF lost two crucial wickets in the first over and could not recover sufficiently.

Earlier in the other semifinal, K.B. Arun Karthik (64) led India Cements to a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Young Stars CC.

The final between India Cements and SBM (Bangalore) will be played on Sunday.

The scores: Young Stars CC 126 in 20 overs (Wilkins Victor 49, Suresh Kumar four for 25) lost to India Cements 127 for three in 18 overs (K.B. Arun Karthik 64).

SBM 199 for six in 30 overs (Karun Nair 45, Anirudh Joshi 56, Thilak Naidu 37 n.o.) bt RWF 110 in 20.4 overs (Thangaraj four for 24). — Sports Reporter
