Sanjeev Rajput finished eighth in the men's 50-metre rifle 3-position event with a total of 1263.1 in the World Cup finals in Wroclaw (Poland) on Wednesday.
He had qualified for the final with a preliminary score of 1165 that was 11 points less than his own National record of 1176.
In the rapid fire pistol event, Vijay Kumar failed to make the final and finished eighth with a below par score of 567, following scores of 290 in the first stage and 277 in the second.
A last card of 85 in the 4-second series spoilt his chances of making the six-member final, in which the qualification scores are nullified and everyone starts on an equal platform.
