Jitu Rai won clinched the gold in men’s air pistol in the shooting World Cup in Maribor, Slovenia, on Thursday, defeating Spain’s Pablo Carrera of Spain by 2.1 points. It was Rai’s third World Cup medal in nine days.
Prakash Nanjappa finished fifth.
In women’s air pistol, Malaika Goel shot 381 to miss the final by two points. and finishing 15th. Shweta Chaudhary was 20th with 380 and Heena Sidhu 36th with a 376.
In women’s rifle 3-positon, Lajja Gauswami’s 573 saw her missing the final by four points. She ended 31st.
