NEW DELHI: The 21st Federation Cup athletics championships will be held at the Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports in Patiala from June 1 to 4.

The meet, which will serve as the selection trial for the Asian Championship to be staged in Bhubaneswar in July, was originally scheduled to be held at the Nehru Stadium here, but a shift was forced owing to the venue being readied for the Under-17 football World Cup.

C.K. Valson, Secretary-General, Athletics Federation of India, also stated that the Federation Cup would include the 20km race walk events for men and women, which were not listed in the original circular.
