Indian long-distance swimmer and triathlete, Swapnali Yadav, will be taking part in the inaugural Kimberley National Lake Argyle Swim on April 30 as a special invitee in the 20km open category. The event will be held in Kununura, Western Australia.
She was the only swimmer from India to participate in the VIIth Sri Chinmoy Australian National Capital Swim on November 14 last year. At 11 years, 11 months, Swapnali was the youngest-ever to complete the entire 9-km length of Lake Burley Griffin, Canberra.
A student of Bombay Cambridge School, Andheri, she underwent special training at Prabhodhan Thackeray Krida Sankul (Vile Parle) and Ozone (Goregaon) and is coached by Raju Palkar.
