Neha eyeing a second title at home

Local girl Neha Tripathi will aim to win her second title of the season in the third leg of the Hero Women’s Professional Golf Tour of India (WPGT), starting at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club course here on Wednesday.

Neha, who won the first leg of the tour at the Kalhaar Blues and Greens course in Ahmedabad and placed fifth in the second leg at the Kensville Golf and Country Club in the same city, will look forward to assert her supremacy in the Rs. 6 lakh event.

Apart from Neha, seasoned golfer Smriti Mehra, Gaurika Bishnoi and Sharmila Nicollet will be among the top contenders for the title.

Second leg’s winner Amandeep Drall and Vani Kapoor, who are busy with their overseas commitments, will be among the notable absentees. — Special Correspondent
