Ajay Jayaram is keen to use his Korea Open Super Series performance to overcome a tough phase marked by a serious injury.

“I had some good wins against quality players this week, and this has given me a much-needed confidence boost.

“I can reflect on this tournament and take away many positives. This performance will motivate me to work hard on my game,” Jayaram told The Hindu .

The 27-year-old stated that he was disappointed to lose to Long, but added that he was up against a tough opponent.

“I knew it was going to be hard going. I started off well by mixing it up. Long retrieved more shuttles than I expected, so I found it difficult to sustain the pressure,” Jayaram said.
