Japan downs India

A late goal helped Japan defeat India 1-0 and enter the semifinals of the FIH Champions Challenge women's hockey tournament here on Thursday.

The winner from Ai Murakami, came in the 65th minute of the quarterfinal.

Meanwhile Spain, which finished at the bottom of Pool ‘B' earlier, upset Pool ‘A' topper South Africa 3-2 and also made the last-four grade.
