Didn't change camp schedule : HI

December 08, 2011 12:25 am | Updated 12:25 am IST - NEW DELHI:

Hockey India (HI) on Tuesday said it had never changed the dates and venue of the National camp for the Olympic qualifier as these had been finalised at a meeting with the Government in March last.

Countering allegations that it had advanced the National camp at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium here from January 24 to December 11 in order to ‘pose hurdles' for the World Series Hockey (WSH), HI said the dates (December 15-January 6 and then January 16-till Olympic qualifier) and the venue had been decided at the “Steering Committee meeting of hockey on March 7.”

The WSH is scheduled to start here on December 17.
