Harpreet Singh slammed home thrice in Punjab’s comprehensive 11-1 win over Manipur in a Pool B match of the National ‘A’ division hockey championship at the Dhyan Chand Stadium here on Tuesday.
Apart from Harpreet’s penalty corner conversions, Ajay Kumar, Parvinder Singh and Prabhdeep Singh scored a brace each for Punjab. Varun Kumar and Harjit Singh were the other scorers for the winning side.
Jayenta Meitei had put Manipur ahead in the ninth minute.
Second half goals from Mohammad Faheem Khan and Ved Prakash Bhatt helped Services beat Chandigarh Olympic Association (COA) 2-0 in a Pool B match.
