Third win for Md. Sporting

Mohammedan Sporting Club won its third straight group 3 league game in the I-League second division defeating Golden Threads of Kerala by the odd goal in three to go on top of the group with nine points at the Ambedkar Stadium in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Alfred K. Jaryan scored a brace in the eighth and 44th minutes for the winner while Akabougu Chimeizie reduced in the 61st minute for Golden Threads which has just three from as many games.

In another match of the same group, Vasco SC of Goa outplayed Bangalore's KGF Academy 3-0. Vasco now has four points from three matches. KGF is at the bottom of the table without a point.

The results: At Silchar (group 1): Bhowanipur FC (Kolkata) drew with Ar-Hima FC (Shillong) 3-3; Aizwal FC (Mizoram) bt Eagles FC (Kochi) 4-0.

At Cuttack (group 2): Sesa FA bt Samaleshwari SC (Odisha) 6-2; Royal Wahingdoh (Shillong) bt Quartz FC (Kozhikode) 6-2.

At New Delhi (group 3): Mohammedan SC 2 bt Golden Threads 1; Vasco SC 3 bt KGF Academy 0.
