The major sponsors of FIFA have said they are concerned about the image that football’s governing body is currently projecting as a result of the ongoing allegations of corruption.

On Tuesday, Emirates airline joined adidas and Coca—Cola in voicing their concern.

“Emirates, like all football fans around the world, is disappointed with the issues that are currently surrounding the administration of the sport,” said Emirates spokesman Boutros Boutros in a statement.

A Coca—Cola spokesman said the ongoing saga was “distressing and bad for the sport,” while adidas also voiced their disapproval.

“The negative note of the official debate around FIFA is neither good for the image of football, nor FIFA and its partners,” adidas spokesman Jan Runau told the German Press Agency dpa .

He confirmed that the “lengthy and successful partnership” was ongoing.
