Sethu FC hammered FC Kolhapur City 9-0 in the Indian Women’s League (IWL) on Sunday with Sabitra Bhandari and Ratanbala Devi both performing hat-tricks.
Sethu was dominant from the start, making quite a few raids.
It took just four minutes to break the deadlock, with Dangmei Grace finishing off a quick move.
A little over a quarter of an hour later, the India international netted again, this time from the penalty spot.
Two goals
Four minutes later, Ratanbala scored twice in quick succession to make it 4-0.
Kolhapur defender Jabamani Tudu netted into her own goal off a cross from Ratanbala at the stroke of half-time.
In the second half, Sabitra got into the act, scoring a hat-trick in 20 minutes, starting with a 57th-minute goal which saw a Cristiano Ronaldo-like celebration.
Her second goal came off a slick move, with Sandhiya starting it and Ratanbala putting Sabitra through.
Sabitra then linked up well with Sandhiya who squared the ball back to her inside the box, and she made no mistake.
Ratanbala completed her hat-trick too, with a little over 10 minutes to go, slamming home a pass from Sandhiya to complete the rout.
