Ibrahim Affelay may be out for six months

Barcelona Football Club suffered another setback on Thursday when midfielder Ibrahim Affelay injured his knee while training.

The Dutch international was taken for tests where it was confirmed he had broken the cruciate ligament in his left knee. He will need surgery and will be out of action for at least six months. Guardiola's squad have already been hit by injuries to Andres Iniesta and Alexis Sanchez as the club lie in fourth place.
