Katsumi Yusa has been an integral part of the Mohun Bagan’s scheme of things for the last four seasons and the 28-year-old Japanese captain of the Kolkata-based club understands the pressure of wearing the green-and-maroon jersey.

Katsumi said the passionate supporters of Bagan always expected the team to win every title.

“We have been winning either the I-League or the Federation Cup in the last few years. This year we were second in the I- League and in the final of the Fed Cup,” Katsumi said.

“God is watching us. Because of hard work we reached the (Federation Cup) final. Tomorrow if we lose or win, it does not matter. We [must] give 100 per cent. If we give our life, then we will surely win the match.”

Katsumi said a healthy dressing room and good work culture, under the guidance of a protective coach Sanjoy Sen, were responsible for Bagan’s good show, including its 3-1 win over Bengaluru in the AFC Cup in Kolkata.

“There is no secret. Dressing room is very nice.”
