Everton rejects United bid for Fellaini, Baines

Everton has rejected a 28 million pound bid from Manchester United for midfielder Marouane Fellaini and full back Leighton Baines.

United manager David Moyes wants to raid his former club of two of their best players, but Everton value them far higher and do not want to sell.

In a statement on Monday, Everton said: “Those bids were immediately rejected out of hand as derisory and insulting.

“The club did not make public these details as it was vital Roberto Martinez’s preparations for the opening game of the Premier League season were not disrupted in anyway.
