Edeh Chidi scored the all-important goal as Salgaocar Sports Club defeated Prayag United 1-0 in the 19th round of the I-League football championship here on Monday.
Though Chidi scored in the 21st minute, it was Salgaocar 'keeper Karanjit Singh who hogged the limelight with his brilliant work under the bar.
The Goa outfit, which has remained unbeaten in the last 11 matches, took its tally to 33 points from 19 matches and moved to fifth place above Prayag United which remains on 32 points from 19 matches after this defeat.
