Dortmund down on goal difference

Champions Bayern Munich crushed VfL Wolfsburg 6-0 on Saturday with two goals from top scorer Robert Lewandowski, to move ahead of Borussia Dortmund and lead the Bundesliga on goal difference.

Bayern is on 57 points, ahead on goal difference from Dortmund, which won 3-1 against struggler VfB Stuttgart.

Brutally efficient

Four days before they host Liverpool in their Champions League last 16 second leg, the Bavarians were brutally efficient, scoring twice in three minutes through Serge Gnabry and Lewandowski late in the first half to take control.

James Rodriguez fired in the third in the 52nd and Thomas Muller added the fourth. Goals from Joshua Kimmich and Lewandowski completed their rout.

Moise Kean scored a brace as Juventus warmed up for next week’s Champions League showdown with Atletico Madrid by easing past Udinese 4-1 to open a 19-point lead at the top of Serie A on Friday.

The results: Premier League: Crystal Palace 1 (Milivojevic 50-pen) lost to Brighton 2 (Murray 19, Knockaert 74).

On Friday: Serie A: Juventus 4 (Kean 11, 39, Can 67-pen, Matuidi 71) bt Udinese 1 (Lasagna 84).

La Liga: Athletic Bilbao 1 (Raul Garcia 80) drew with Espanyol 1 (Ferreyra 9).

B undesliga: Werder Bremen 4 (Rashica 31, 73, Kruse 51-pen, Harnik 90+4) bt Schalke 2 (Embolo 26, 85).
