ASC Boys triumph

ASC Boys lifted the inaugural Equality Cup Parikrma Champions League inter-school football (under-16) tournament.

At the well filled football Stadium here on Saturday, ASC Boys scored a solitary goal win over Farooq HSS (Kozhikode) with Ranjib Dey netting the all important goal midway through the first session.

Govt. Sports School (Vidyanagar) claimed the third spot, defeating Goa's Regina Mundi HS.

In the Plate division final, Mallya Aditi International School scored a 1-0 win over Vidyashilp Academy. Pranasb Kapoor netted the all-important goal.

Sports scholarship programme

A sports scholarship programme for athletes in need was announced by GoSports Foundation, here on Saturday. The PACE scholarships will offer monetary and non-monetary support to sportspersons between 13 and 21 years of age. Three scholarships are on offer in seven categories — badminton, tennis, table tennis, swimming, sailing, ‘differently-abled' and other Olympic sports.

Scholars will receive equipment and non-monetary support in the form of access to experts. Those interested may apply before Dec. 5 by writing to saisudha.sugavanam@gosports.in or calling 080-42048046 or visiting >www.gosportsfoundation.in .

Basketball championship

The Association Cup basketball championship, conducted by the Karnataka State Basketball Association, for men and women will be held at the Sree Kanteerava Staduim basketball courts, from December 1 to 7.

A referees test will also be conducted by the KSBA during the championship.
