Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli will replace Marcello Lippi as Italy coach after the World Cup, the Italian football federation said on Sunday.
Prandelli agreed a four-year contract after talks with federation president Giancarlo Abete.
Prandelli, 52, a former midfielder who spent much of his playing career at Juventus and Atalanta Bergamo has been coach of Fiorentina since the start of the 2005-2006 season and was twice voted Italy’s coach of the year.
