The women’s T20 tri-series featuring India, Australia and England has been rescheduled to enable Star Sports to telecast all seven matches before its media rights contract with the BCCI ends on March 31.

The tri-series will be played at the Brabourne Stadium here from March 22 to 31.

The original programme spilled over to April 1 and 3, when the new media rights holder for home internationals and domestic matches (April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2023) would have been announced.

A BCCI official said that Star India would telecast the three-match ODI series against Australia to be played in Vadodara on March 12, 15 and 18 and also the T20 tri-series.

The BCCI has invited bids for the media rights (global television rights plus digital rights package, Indian sub-continent digital package and global consolidated rights package) for the next five years.

The new media rights holder will telecast the three ODI matches against England to be played in Nagpur on April 6, 9 and 12.
