Tremlett bullish ahead of second Test

Chris Tremlett says England will show no mercy in the second test against Sri Lanka after subjecting the tourists to an embarrassing defeat in the opening match.

Tremlett took four wickets as Sri Lanka collapsed to 82 all out on the final day in Cardiff to lose by an innings and 14 runs.

The 29-year-old seamer says England “aren’t afraid of kicking the opposition when they’re down. That’s what we’ll be looking to do in this game.”

The second of the three-match Test series begins on Friday at Lord’s.
