The BCCI has categorically dismissed reports published in sections of the media that the Board declined ICC’s request for changing the IPL schedule for April matches in Kolkata.

Talking to The Hindu, a top BCCI functionary said: “The Board would like to make it clear that no such request was made by the ICC. Reports carrying such articles are baseless.”

The ICC’s quarterly meeting was held in Dubai on Feb. 8 and 9 and the ICC did not make any request after it scheduled its next quarterly meeting in Kolkata on April 26 and 27.
