BCCI’s move to live stream two Ranji Trophy matches on its website (www.bcci.tv) from every round of the league phase should bring cheer to followers of domestic cricket. STAR India telecasts one league match live.
The two matches that are currently being streamed are between Mumbai and Baroda (at Vadodara) and between Vidarbha and Assam (Nagpur).
The BCCI’s production team has installed 10 cameras for a match and chooses commentators from its panel.
Sources said the BCCI spends around Rs. 7 lakh per match.
Two quarterfinal matches, semifinals and the final will also be streamed live.
