Australia's Glenn Maxwell goes big during his 113

Glenn Maxwell smashed an unbeaten 113 as Australia chased 191 to win in the final over against India in the second T20I in Bengaluru. Australia won the T20 series 2-0.

India posted a strong 190 for 4 after being put into bat by Australia. Captain Virat Kohli led the charge with 72 off 38 balls with six sixes. MS Dhoni also scored an explosive 40 off 23 balls to help India accelerate in the last ten overs.

Earlier, KL Rahul got India off to a fine start with 47.

Preview

Losing a close game is never a pleasant feeling — Virat Kohli had a face like thunder after Australia scrambled two off the final ball in Visakhapatnam — but India should not be overly worried by a single T20 defeat.

The home side nearly defended a low total when all seemed lost, and should derive confidence from the manner in which it strangled Australia as the tension rose.

The teams served up a thriller on the weekend and more drama is expected when they meet at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium for Wednesday's second T20.
