Azharuddin files nomination papers

Former India captain Mohd. Azharuddin filed his nomination papers on Wednesday for the post of president in the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) elections to be held on September 27 here.

Azhar’s nomination was proposed by Adnan Mahmood and seconded by Zeeshan Adnan Mahmood.

Incumbent joint-secretary Ajmal Asad filed nomination for the post of secretary this time around.

The other familiar official who filed his nomination for the post of vice-president was Vikram Man Singh, son of former HCA secretary P.R. Man Singh. He was proposed and seconded by R. Srinivasan and M. Chandrasekhar respectively.

Former HCA juniors selection committee member Imran Mahmood also filed nomination for the post of vice-president with Virender Yadav proposing and G.J. Sundar Rao seconding.
