Suresh Raina, who was named captain of the new Rajkot-based IPL side Gujarat Lions, had mixed feelings as he looked forward to greater responsibility in the ninth edition of the annual T20 extravaganza.

At the launch of the team’s logo, featuring a roaring lion, here on Tuesday, Raina said he would have to adjust to the new environment. “I played for CSK for eight years under one of the greatest captains and some great coaches. But I have to perform for a new team and that’s what sport is all about.”

Raina said he would have to sit with coach Brad Hodge to figure out the players who would fit into Lions’ scheme of things.
