The brainchild of Adersh S.J., a former contract engineer with the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB), Servicexpertz was born because he felt that there was a dearth of reliable technicians to fix niggling problems at home. His first foray into such a venture was in 2008 but had to be shut down after a few months.
“There was no website or mobile application, and I was employing part-time workers. There were issues with efficiency and time-keeping,” he reflects.
He relaunched the home-repair service, but this time with a pool of staff members with several years of experience.

Adersh says,“The expertise, resources and the stable income that we have from our contract works means we can provide solutions at a reasonable rate.”
Clients can get an estimate of the fee involved during the booking process itself. “But it may not be an exact amount as calculating the charge almost always requires an on-site assessment. Our supervisors will check with the client as well as the workers after the job is done,” claims Adersh. The final charge will be fixed only after deciding the quality of the work.
Vijimole Tharis, an entrepreneur and one of the clients of Servicexpertz, says, she was impressed by the technicians who did a great job of fixing her faulty AC. “It helps a lot when you get things fixed without much delay. Individual electricians and plumbers often take a long time to respond,” she adds.
They also promise to do laundry, cleaning and also shopping for old residents.
