Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus launched its flagship product, OnePlus 5, in New York on Tuesday. The phone will be officially available on June 27. The India launch is scheduled for Mumbai on June 22, and the starting price is $479, which is just over Rs. 30,000.

The phone comes with two variants - 6GB RAM with 64 GB internal storage, and 8GB RAM with 128 GB internal storage. The phone has a Snapdragon 835, one of the world's most advanced processors. With the 2.45GHz Octa-Core processor, you can get "stunning graphics", and "multimedia capability" while watching hi-defenition movies, graphics-intensive games, downloading videos.

 

The Dash Charge is one of the specialities of One Plus phones and the latest variant is 25% more power efficient.

The phone comes in two available colours - Midnight Black and Slate Grey. At 7.25mm, it is the slimmest OnePlus flagship ever. Then there is the Alert Slider, which helps you control your notifications. The Fingerprint Scanner on the front unlocks the phone in 0.2 seconds.

For India customers, the Amazon sale begins on June 22 at 16.30 IST. This will be followed by pop-up events - where people can purchase the smartphone offline - in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bengaluru over the next two days.
