A Jaipur-based firm Docoss has announced an android smartphone - Docoss X1 - priced at Rs. 888.
The Dual SIM smartphone boosts of a 4-inch display with 1GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage (expandable up to 32 GB). It is powered by a dual-core processor and come with a 2-megapixel rear camera, a 0.3-megapixel front camera and 1300 mAh battery.
It is available for pre-order from the company’s website.
According to reports, while pre-bookings close on Friday and the deliveries of the Docoss X1 will begin from May 2, at the time of writing this story most of the links of the company's website were not opening, including information about the company.
In February, a similar phone - Freedom 251 - was launched amid a lot of fanfare, but soon came under the government scanner after the industry raised concerns over the feasibility of a 3G smartphone at such a low price.
