Speakers on stands, like these, make your desk appear less cluttered. The Companion 5's two satellite speakers use TrueSpace DSP, which emulates 5.1 surround pretty damn convincingly. You can plug in an iPhone or iPod at the same time as your PC, switching audio sources quickly without unplugging. By Bose's spendthrift standards it's almost reasonably priced, too.
