I am currently reading Maharaja Krishna Rasgotra’s A Life in Diplomacy. I like this book as Rasgotra is one of the senior-most diplomats of India who joined the foreign service soon afterIndependence. I am also reading an old classic by Krishna Nehru Hutheesing, With No Regrets — An Autobiography, which gives us a unique look into the Indian political system and the Nehruvian way of life. The book was a personal gift from Mrs. Hutheesing, who I called “Maasi”.

K. Natwar Singh is a writer and a former External Affairs Minister.

I am currently reading All The Birds in the Sky by Charlie Jane Anders. It is a good book, excellent in fact. I last read some George Martin books. I’ve been reading them for years; I was revisiting them once more. I plan to read Siddhartha Mukherjee's s new book, The Gene, which is releasing in June. I am also looking forward to reading Mohammed Hanif’s new book.

Samit Basu is a novelist and screenwriter
