I like reading three or four books at the same time. At the moment, I am reading Open by Andre Agassi. It has so many twists and turns in it, I feel like I am going through a movie script written by Salim-Javed. I am also enjoying Two Alone, Two Together: Letters Between Indira Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, edited by Sonia Gandhi. I have always been fascinated by Indira Gandhi's personality, so I am completely hooked to it. Of course, Faiz Ahmad Faiz’s poetry has a timeless quality, so I keep revisiting his book Saare Sukhan Hamaare .

I often resist reading books while the hype is high and so Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn sat on my table for a long time before I picked it up. Once I did, though, it was unputdownable. I’ve also been reading The Explorers Guild (volume one) by Jonathan Baird and Kevin Costner. I’m also just finishing Hothouse: The Art of Survival and the Survival of Art at America’s Most Celebrated Publishing House, Farrar Straus and Giroux by Boris Kachka. It’s a beautifully chronicled history of the American publishing house.
