What is the world coming too? It was deeply distressing to read the report, “Teenager takes own life after Instagram poll” (‘Life’ page, May 16). Rising suicide rates and mental health issues among young people need to be taken seriously. It is unfortunate that a young life full of potential has been lost in this manner. I hope that social media platforms have safeguards.
