Road to justice

May 09, 2018 10:38 pm | Updated 10:38 pm IST

The Supreme Court’s order to transfer the Kathua rape case from Jammu and Kashmir to the neighbouring State of Punjab instils hopes of there being a fair trial and the family of the minor getting justice (Editorial – “For a fair trial”, May 9). The judiciary is a last beacon of hope for all of us and there needs to be severe punishment for those who carried out the crime. It will also send a signal to those who commit crimes against women and children.
