Naidu's invitation

October 20, 2015 02:35 am | Updated 02:35 am IST

It is a gratifying as well as a welcome move by Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, to invite K. Chandrashekhar Rao for the proposed capital Amaravathi’s foundation-laying ceremony (“KCR to attend Amaravathi event,” Oct.19). The gesture will go a long way in bettering the relations between the two States. The two leaders need to think in a broad-minded manner about the welfare and development of their States, pressing the central government for more funds. Let us forgive and forget the bitterness of the past and begin a new era of friendship and mutual brotherhood.

J.P. Reddy,

Nalgonda
