Inspiring

The news that the family members of the former CPI (M) legislator of the Assam Assembly, Nizamuddin Khan, donated his body to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital in keeping with his wishes — making him the first Muslim to donate his body in the State — was inspiring. He has set the trend of body donation among Muslims. How great it would be if everyone started thinking on these lines! Of what use is the body after death? Why should any religion object to its donation when it can help serve humanity?
