Gag order

October 20, 2015 02:32 am | Updated 02:32 am IST

It has been reported that four leaders — M.L. Khattar, Sangeet Som, Sanjeev Balyan and Sakshi Maharaj — who have made inflammatory speeches in the past, were served with a gag order by Amit Shah (“ >Amit Shah serves gag order on leaders ,” Oct.19). The entire episode appears to be a farce and stage managed to quell the communal fire lit by the leaders, particularly in the backdrop of the ongoing Bihar elections. If the NDA was serious about taking action against them for their repeated communal speeches, the Prime Minister should have dropped the leaders from ther key posts and initiated appropriate action against them.
