After Pakistan’s move to depute 22 diplomats to various countries to highlight the “goings-on” in Kashmir hardly gained traction, it is unfortunate that Islamabad is still trying every trick in the book to try and embarrass India (” >Pakistan told to let diplomats work ‘without hindrance ’,” Sept.8). It will not succeed given its own poor record of human rights. The latest incident, where a speech on India-Pakistan trade ties was cancelled at the final hour, goes to show the level to which Pakistan is prepared to stoop. There has hardly been an event where India has acted in a similar manner. In fact we seem to have gone out of our way to accommodate Pakistan’s concerns.
