>>A sentence in " >UpGrad starts online course " (Business page, Sept. 1, 2015) read: “UpGrad has made a provision of three months of free trial for interested candidates ...” It should have been three weeks .

>>With reference to the report, “ >Ideologue blames leaders for CPI(M) downfall " (August 31, 2015), economic historian Amiya Bagchi clarified that he is neither an ideologue nor a member of any party. No party had ever consulted him on any political issues, he said. Citing Javeed Alam’s Who wants democracy , he observed: “When Lenin organised a party based on the principle of democratic centralism, he was fighting an armed struggle against Tsarist Russia. So the highly centralised structure of theses parties is inappropriate in our context.”

>>In “SEBI plans dividend distribution policy” (August 31, 2015), the full form of SEBI was erroneously given as Securities and Exchange of India. It should have been Securities and Exchange Board of India.

>>The penultimate sentence of the report, “ >A flare-up ” (Sport, Sept. 1, 2015), should have been recast with additional information to read: “He was fined 65 per cent of his match fee for twice committing a similar offence in the second Test.
