>> A sentence in the report, “What will be the India-based Neutrino Observatory’s impact?” (Science & Technology page, Jan. 8, 2015), read: “They will construct a tunnel … which is 20 km by 7.5m by 7.5m .” It should have been 2 km by 7.5 m by 7.5 m . Also, the second deck headline should have read: “The INO will be like a 2-inch-wide hole made to insert a pipe through a 10-foot-high wall; it will not affect the stability of the wall.”

>>“Coal strike biggest ever: Dasgupta” (Jan. 7, 2015) said Hind Mazdoor Sangh was among the trade unions participating in the strike. It should have been  Hind Mazdoor Sabha .

>>The report, “Educationist Saiyid Hamid passes away” (Dec. 31, 2014), erroneously said that Hamid was the last surviving ICS officer in India. Actually, Valluri Kameshwara Rao, a former Indian Civil Service (ICS) officer who turned a centenarian on July 15, 2014, lives in Hyderabad.
