The following is the text of the Supreme Court order in the Reliance Natural Resources Ltd Vs Reliance Industries case, Civil Appeal No 4273 of 2010. In the case relating to a contract on sale of natural gas, the court said that in a "constitutional democracy like ours, the national assets belong to the people. The Government holds such natural resources in trust.”
