Delhi Police Raising Day Parade

Delhi Police 72nd Raising Day Parade was held at New Police Lines, Kingsway Camp, in New Delhi. Lauding the work and contributions of Delhi Police, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal asked the citizens to appreciate their consistent selfless work so that they are encouraged and motivated to do more such works.

Delhi Police, he said, has been able to create a special place in the society and project a popular image by its excellent public service.

“People should acknowledge the selfless efforts of policemen in maintaining law and order, so that they are encouraged and motivated to do more such works. Police personnel are inseparable part of the society and who work in adverse conditions and put their lives at risk for our security,” Mr. Baijal said.

He said that heinous crimes in Delhi came down by 12% in 2018 as compared to 2017, and a very strong dip of 31% as compared to the heinous crime figures for 2016. - PTI

Protests were held in Karnataka against the February 15 attack on CRPF jawans. It was a suicide car bombing that returned to the Kashmir Valley after 18 years. Thursday’s incident was claimed by Jaish-e-Mohammad.

A group of protesters blocked railway tracks on Saturday morning at Nalasopara, a suburb north of Mumbai, to protest against the terrorist attack in Pulwama that killed over 40 CRPF jawans.
