For the first time in it’s history, the temple administration of Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy Temple, Yadagirigutta has introduced break darshan for visiting VIP devotees from Sunday.

The devotees have to purchase Rs 250 ticket to avail the darshan. However, there would be no queue line for these devotees since the temple staff will make them sit at Andal Nilayam and will take them for darshan in a group of around 50 members at a time for every half an hour or one hour depending on the influx of devotees.

However, the temple administration clarified that they would not issue these tickets to ordinary devotees except those who were coming with the letters of MPs, Ministers and officials.

Apart from that the temple administration also had decided to cancel Rs 50 darshan ticket on weekends to restrict the queue lines to just two apart from break darshan. Besides Dharmadarashan, there would be only Rs 150 ticket queue line on the weekends. Until Saturday, there used to be three queue lines on weekends Dharmadarashan, Rs 50 and Rs 150.

On regular week days, there used to be Dharamadashan, Rs 50, Rs 100 when there would be no Rs 150 darshan queue line.

The temple administration will continue these two tickets on regular weekdays apart from break darshan. While the Executive Officer. N. Geetha, said that the decision was taken to streamline darshan process, the devotees saw it as an attempt to make  the darshan of god costly. They devotees feared that the influence of politicians will increase on the temple  with the decision to accept their letters.

Meanwhile, the temple has witnessed a huge influx of devotees since Saturday evening. The Police and temple authorities were not allowing the private vehicles on to the hill shrine.
