Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to host a town-hall meeting in India

Jack Dorsey, CEO and co-founder of social media platform Twitter, is on his first trip to India and is ready to "experience" it all. 

On a Twitter post Mr. Dorsey said: "Hello India. My first time here after a lifetime of wanting to experience it." He is slated to host a town-hall meeting with university students in IIT New Delhi on November 12. 

Upon arriving, Mr. Dorsey made his first stop to meet Tibetan Buddhist spiritual leader Dalai Lama on Saturday. In a Twitter post he hailed the Buddhist preacher as an "amazing teacher."

Twitter in June this year announced new leadership structure, in an attempt to drive a "stronger customer-focused approach and team dynamic." Of the 10 new divisions - Technology, Engineering, Product, Revenue Product, Design and Research, Customers, People and Marketing, finance, Counsel, two of them are led by Indian-origin executives. Parag Agarwal, an IIT Bombay alumnus, heading Technology and Vijaya Gadde for Counsel.
