A 22-year-old woman jumped off the ESI metro station in SR Nagar police limits on Tuesday. Suffering bleeding head and limb injuries, she later succumbed at a hospital.

Police identified the victim as Shabnam, a resident of Sri Ram Nagar near Banjara Hills.

According to police, the incident took place at around 5.30 p.m. just after the woman climbed up the metro and reportedly jumped off. She was found in a pool of blood and soon rushed for emergency care.

Preliminarily, police suspect the woman was disappointed with her family members as they reportedly were not convinced about her choice of life partner. She had left the house after a heated argument.
