"University-level education was very important for students as they would enter into practical life directly after leaving the varsity."

June 28, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 08:15 am IST - NIZAMABAD:

Telangana University Vice-Chancellor C. Parthasarathi has administered an oath by the varsity teaching staff for working with sincerity and dedication to bring name and fame to the institution by improving academic standards.

He personally wrote the pledge and asked the teaching staff including senior professors to recite it when he was reading it out. They followed the Vice-Chancellor by extending the right hand. He said teachers could become good academicians when they nurtured the penchant for improving knowledge in their subject and also teaching skills.

Teaching in the varsity was a very responsible job and unless the teachers had commitment and dedication they would not do justice to their profession, he said and asked them to be a role model to students. When teachers maintained regular interaction with students the latter would gain knowledge paving the way for their future, he said.

Saying that all departments should coordinate each other to protect discipline in the campus, he said university-level education was very important for students as they would enter into practical life directly after leaving the varsity. Therefore, teachers need to equip them to face the outside life.

Registrar Prof. R. Limbadri was also present.
