Three drown in two incidents

Three people drowned in two incidents in the district here on Sunday.

According to Penpahad police, Dongari Lokesh (8) and Dongari Charan (8), residents of Dharmpauram village of Penpahda mandal, drowned in the village tank. Though the boys did not know swimming, they still went into the tank. The bodies have been fished out. A case has been registered.

In another incident, a 24-year-old, Jogi Saidulu, drowned in Musi river near Valigonda. Saidulu, a native of Poddatur of Valigonda mandal, arrived at the mandal headquarter to attend a function.

He reportedly ventured into the Musi river to bathe and drowned.
