Telangana Finance Minister said arrested TDP legislator Revanth Reddy acted onMr. Naidu’s instructions.

There was no escape for Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N. Chandrababu Naidu in the cash-for-vote case, Telangana Finance Minister Etela Rajendar has said.

While it was senior TDP legislator Revanth Reddy who had been arrested, Mr. Rajendar alleged that the former could not have offered money to nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson without Mr. Naidu’s instructions.

The senior TRS leader said enough evidence was available to prove Naidu’s role in the case.

Mr. Stephenson had said that he was offered money to vote in favour of a TDP candidate in the recently held MLC polls.

Mr. Rajendar was here to appear before the Judicial First Class Magistrate (Railways) in Kazipet in connection with a rail roko case booked against him during the Telangana statehood movement.

‘Naidu should quit’

He said Mr.Naidu had no moral right to continue in his post. The audio recording of Mr. Naidu’s conversation with Mr. Stephenson had proved the AP Chief Minister’s involvement.

On the argument of TDP leaders that the voice on the tapes was not that of Mr. Naidu, the Minister said there were legal and scientific institutions to determine the authenticity of the tapes.
