Telangana minister sustains injuries in road accident

Etala Rajender was immediately shifted to Apollo Reach hospital in Karimnagar for treatment.

Minister of Finance and Civil Supplies Etala Rajender and others sustained serious injuries when their car turned turtle at Edulaguttapalli village of Manakondur mandal in Karimnagar district on Saturday evening.

Police sources said that the Minister’s convoy was coming from Huzurabad to Karimnagar town to participate in the administration of Pentavalent vaccine when the mishap occurred.

The Minister’s car (Fortuner) while trying to overtake a lorry lost control. His personal assistant, driver and gunmen also sustained minor injuries.

The Minister was immediately shifted to Apollo Reach hospital in Karimnagar for treatment. Party leaders and workers thronged in large numbers to the hospital to inquire about the health condition of the Minister.

Several accidents have taken place in the Edulaguttapalli village of the Manakondur mandal due to sharp curve of the road.
